Al "Jolly Joe" Truszkowski recently marked a milestone, hosting his 1300th "Jolly Joe's Bavarian Bandstand" radio show.
He has entertained radio listeners for 26 years and has been a part of WICK-AM's programming for the last three years.
"The music and culture of Central Europe can only be preserved in America when all the bands and the radio shows work together to share the music and culture with the people. I will continue to do what I can to help," Truszkowski said.
His show, which features Polish, German and Slovenian music, can be heard Sundays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on WICK 1340, 1400 and 1550 AM.
