Joe currently performs with his own band , Jolly Joe and the Bavarians, which he started around 1967-68.
"I formed the band because I always had a preference for both styles of music," explains Joe " the German music and the Polka music. They are both lively music, happy-go-lucky music.
He goes by the name Jolly Joe since it sounded a lot better than Jolly Al and since Joe is his confirmation name thats why he chose Joe and is now known as Jolly Joe and the Bavarians.


Together with the Bavarians, Joe has performed at major festivals and events around the country.
Jolly Joe has released two albums to date and has plans for a third release in the near future."UP UP UP " and "FOLLOW ME" were released by the Lemans record label of New Jersey, the company owned and operated by Joe's long time associate, Bernie Goydish.
A selection from his "FOLLOW ME" album, entitled "The Chicken Dance", was so successful that Joe received a Gold Record for a song from the Lemans. According to Joe, the Bavarians were the first band in America to record the song.
